MedShare Appoints J. Paul Haynes as CEO
Waterloo, ON January 11, 2007 -- MedShare today announced the appointment of technology business leader J. Paul Haynes as Chief Executive Officer. Haynes is a seasoned software executive experienced at taking technology solutions to North American and international marketplaces. He will leverage MedShare's Canadian success in launching its award winning home heath care software into U.S. markets.
" The SaaS subscription model has been well proven in other industries. With the North American home health care market spending over $50 Billion annually, we are very excited about our opportunities and have expanded our leadership team to ensure we capitalize on our leading edge position " |
"Our past year's growth has been phenomenal based on our flagship offering, MedShare HC. J's extensive software marketing and corporate development experience will help MedShare both access capital markets and build out the organization in order to support rapid expansion into the U.S.," says Barry Billings, MedShare Founder and President.
MedShare HC improves access to patient information, facilitates home health care worker collaboration, reduces administrative burden, provides instant access to a patient's electronic health record and allows health care workers to dedicate more of their time to client care.
"I am tremendously excited about Medshare's prospects. The home health care IT market is growing at an annual rate of 25%. With constrained health care budgets, the market has turned to technology to improve operations. I firmly believe Medshare HC is a platform upon which to build an industry leading firm," says Haynes. "They have a state of the art solution with solid, referencable customers and are now poised to take on the U.S. market."
According to Billings, Medshare HC improves operational efficiencies by upwards of 35% providing Medshare customers exceptional return on investment. Medshare's Software as a Service (SaaS) delivery approach and subscription model allows customers to implement Medshare HC at a fraction of the cost of traditional systems.
"The SaaS subscription model has been well proven in other industries. With the North American home health care market spending over $50 Billion annually, we are very excited about our opportunities and have expanded our leadership team to ensure we capitalize on our leading edge position," said Billings.
Prior to joining Medshare, Haynes was President and CEO of EVER America Corporation which was acquired by Versa in February, 2006, where he served as COO. Haynes holds a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Engineering, is a founding Director of Acetech, a Director of CATA and is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers of Ontario.
