MedShare Appoints Paul Lupinacci as COO
February 20, 2006 – MedShare today announced the appointment of industry veteran Paul Lupinacci as Chief Operating Officer.
“This appointment represents a critical step forward for the company,” says Barry Billings, president of MedShare. “MedShare will benefit from Paul’s experience in software product management and building successful customer operations.”
With MedShare tightly focused on delivering integrated Electronic Health Record (EHR) solutions for the home health care sector, the executive team will value the proven leadership of Lupinacci.
The MedShare Suite improves access to information and collaboration, reduces administrative burden and allows health care workers to dedicate more of their time to client care. “This is significant when you consider that a 5% reduction in time spent on administration would save $75 million annually in Ontario, or provide funding for an additional 28,000 clients per year,” says Billings.
“The home health care field represents a tremendous opportunity for MedShare” says Lupinacci. “It is critical that we continue building our award-winning software solution and develop sales and customer care organizations that will establish MedShare as a leader in the home health care software market.”
Paul Lupinacci was formerly Vice President of Product and Customer Management at Changepoint Corporation, where he was a member of the executive team that built Changepoint from a small services firm to a global software company, eventually being acquired by Compuware in 2004. He holds a Bachelor of Applied Science, Mechanical Engineering from the University of Toronto and an MBA from York University.
